Well, the trailer did set this one up…

“It Doesn’t Feel Pity, Or Remorse, Or Fear, And It Absolutely Will Not Stop, Ever, Until You Are Dead!” – Kyle Reese, The Terminator, 1984

I managed to squeeze in a 25 power level/ 500 point battle today with the young one. I thought I’d try out the Cadian doctrine against some of the Indomitus Necrons in the Incisive Attack mission.

Having packed three infantry squads and three heavy weapons into this list, as well as a Tank Commander, I was pretty confident that I could make a reasonable show.

How wrong I was.

I went second. One squad got caught up in close combat with Scarabs, and my other units got deleted by close range gauss fire from Necron Warriors, having taken out two models in hand to hand from another unit of Scarabs. I’d taken Slay the Warlord as a secondary and ploughed the shots from my Leman Russ into a Skorpekh Lord, with it finally succumbing on turn 3. By this point the score was Necrons: 46, Guard: 11. I only had my Tank Commander, Command Squad, and Platoon Commander remaining. It was time to concede.
